At Ferrari Racing Days at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, a new creation emerged from Maranello’s most exclusive design atelier: the Ferrari HC25, a One-Off roadster developed under the Special Projects programme. Unveiled on 15 May 2026, it is a singular commission shaped for a single client, placing it at the very peak of Ferrari personalisation.
The HC25 is based on the architecture of the F8 Spider, carrying forward its mid-rear 3.9-litre turbocharged V8, chassis layout and engineering foundation. While its mechanical core remains rooted in that proven platform, its design language takes a far more radical path. Crafted by the Ferrari Design Studio led by Flavio Manzoni, the car reinterprets the mid-engine spider format with a forward-looking sculptural approach that pushes beyond evolution into reinvention.
Visually, the HC25 is defined by a strong duality. The body appears split into two distinct volumes, front and rear, held together by a bold central graphic band. This black structural ribbon runs through the car like a functional spine, integrating air management channels, radiator intake paths and heat extraction for the powertrain. It is both an engineering necessity and a visual signature, giving the car a sense of tension and cohesion at once.
The side profile introduces a sense of motion even when static. A sweeping graphic element begins at the rear wheels, moves forward along the body, rises vertically over the door and forms a sculpted handle milled from solid aluminium before flowing back into the rear glazing. This continuous movement reshapes the perception of proportion, visually pulling the cabin forward while amplifying the muscular rear stance.
Surface treatment plays a critical role in the HC25’s presence. The body is finished in matt Moonlight Grey, giving the form a dense, almost monolithic quality. In contrast, the glossy black central band slices through the composition, emphasising structure and division. Subtle yellow accents appear throughout, from exterior detailing to brake callipers and interior graphics, tying the visual language together with controlled flashes of contrast.
Lighting design is equally bespoke. The front headlamps were developed specifically for this car, using previously unseen Ferrari modules to achieve an ultra-slim form with a distinctive central indentation that echoes the split rear light signature. Vertical daytime running lights are integrated into the leading edge of the front wings, forming a boomerang-like graphic that reinforces the car’s forward energy and identity.
The wheels continue this attention to detail, featuring a five-spoke design with a diamond-finished outer rim and recessed grooves that visually expand their presence. Darker finishes on the spokes emphasise depth and rotation, reinforcing the car’s performance intent even when stationary.
Inside, the cabin reflects the same design philosophy. Technical grey fabrics create a restrained, engineered atmosphere, while yellow graphic accents mirror the exterior language and lighting motifs. The result is a cohesive interior-exterior dialogue that reinforces the HC25 as a single unified design object rather than separate components.
As part of Ferrari’s Special Projects programme, the HC25 belongs to a rare category of One-Off vehicles created in close collaboration with clients. Each project begins as an idea and is developed over approximately two years, moving through sketching, design refinement, styling bucks and final production. The process allows for deep personalisation while maintaining Ferrari’s engineering and performance standards.
The Ferrari HC25 ultimately stands as a transitional statement. It closes the chapter on the non-hybrid turbo V8 mid-rear spider lineage while pointing toward Ferrari’s next design era. In doing so, it becomes more than a bespoke roadster. It becomes a bridge between heritage and the future, shaped in aluminium, carbon and intent.
