Denmark, 23 June 2025 — As Zenvo Automotive prepares to unleash its groundbreaking Aurora hypercar onto the world stage, the Danish marque has confirmed braking specialist Alcon Components as the official supplier of an all-new, bespoke braking system. Developed exclusively for the Aurora Tur and Agil variants, this precision-engineered system ensures that the hypercar’s staggering 1,850hp output is matched by a braking setup of uncompromising capability, control, and confidence.

The Zenvo Aurora—available in two forms: the refined Tur GT and the track-focused Agil—represents a no-holds-barred pursuit of mechanical excellence, with a driver-first design philosophy embedded in every detail. Central to this ethos is the tactile connection between man and machine, a connection that comes alive through intuitive feedback, confidence-inspiring control, and performance that feels as immediate as it is immense. Zenvo’s newly confirmed partnership with Alcon ensures that this connection remains unbroken, even under the most extreme driving scenarios.

“Delivering power is only one part of the challenge when engineering a true driver’s car. Controlling it, and making it usable on road and on track, is as important,” explains Jon Gunner, Chief Technical Officer at Zenvo Automotive. “For a no-compromise project like Aurora, the braking system is critical. Driver engagement; being able to harness up to 1,850hp; providing feedback and feel with a hybridized powertrain – each element plays a part in how the Aurora performs. Alcon Components have proven themselves to be world-beaters when it comes to delivering systems which can cope at the most extreme levels, and their latest braking system is the perfect fit.”

Zenvo Partners With Alcon To Deliver Bespoke Braking Precision For Aurora Hypercar Programme

The bespoke system developed by Alcon comprises billet aluminium monoblock calipers—six-piston units at the front and four-piston at the rear—combined with ultra-lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced silicon carbide (C/SiC) brake discs. This combination ensures exceptional thermal capacity, consistent pedal modulation, and unwavering performance lap after lap, without any sacrifice in feedback or feel. The materials used are not only high-performing but also carefully selected for weight-saving benefits, which further contribute to the Aurora’s dynamically balanced character.

Steve Hodgkins, Chief Engineer Performance OEM at Alcon, commented on the partnership: “We’re thrilled to be chosen as the brake supplier for the Zenvo Aurora Tur and Agil models. Zenvo’s commitment to engineering excellence and pushing performance boundaries mirrors our own philosophy at Alcon. This collaboration has allowed us to develop a bespoke braking solution, leveraging our motorsport heritage and advanced technologies to meet the extreme demands of these hypercars.”

Alcon’s 40-year legacy spans multiple motorsport and high-performance sectors—including Formula 1, the World Rally Championship, and military-grade vehicles—making it one of the few braking specialists capable of meeting the demands of vehicles that redefine mechanical potential. The Zenvo Aurora is precisely that: a modern hypercar engineered not just for top-end speed, but for complete driver immersion and control.

With this latest announcement, Zenvo once again underscores its commitment to holistic performance—where propulsion, control, and driver engagement exist in perfect harmony. The Aurora Tur and Agil are not only bold statements of Danish design and engineering prowess but now also prime examples of how high-performance braking technology can elevate the driving experience to extraordinary new heights.
