In a powerful move set to benefit thousands of electric vehicle (EV) drivers, Ohme—the UK’s largest and fastest-growing home EV charging company—has announced a new collaboration with leading energy supplier E.ON Next. This partnership is set to offer customers broader access to cheaper, smarter overnight charging, further accelerating the country’s e-mobility revolution.
At the heart of the offer is E.ON Next’s Next Drive tariff, the UK’s longest and lowest off-peak EV rate, delivering energy at just 6.7p/kWh between midnight and 7am—an unmatched window of value and convenience. By combining Ohme’s award-winning smart home chargers with E.ON Next’s tailored tariff, EV drivers will be able to optimise their charging schedules and reduce their running costs more efficiently than ever.
“Ohme is committed to bringing affordable home charging to as many EV drivers as possible by connecting them with the UK’s best electricity tariffs,” said David Watson, CEO of Ohme. “This customer offer with E.ON Next is a great step to helping EV drivers access the best tariffs and the best rates on the market.”
A fully charged smart #1, equipped with a 49kWh battery and 193-mile range, could cost as little as £3.29 when charged overnight on this tariff using an Ohme smart charger—illustrating the power of combining intelligent hardware with flexible energy pricing.

“Ohme is a progressive EV charging company and our Next Drive tariff offer will help more customers to unlock smarter and cheaper overnight charging, so we’re delighted to be working with them,” said Jean Coleman, Commercial Director at E.ON Next. “We want to make the switch to electric easy and accessible for all, helping to ensure that no driver is left behind in the e-mobility transition.”
As part of the joint initiative, all new and existing Ohme customers who switch to the Next Drive tariff before 31 July 2025 will receive a £75 energy account credit—a welcome boost in today’s cost-conscious climate.
Ohme’s growing presence in the UK EV ecosystem is already significant. The company serves as the official charger provider for major OEMs including Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, Smart, Hyundai, and the Volkswagen Group across the UK and Ireland. Ohme is also the exclusive charger supplier for Motability Operations, the UK’s largest fleet operator, underlining the company’s commitment to accessible, inclusive EV infrastructure.
With this latest partnership, Ohme and E.ON Next are paving the way for more EV owners to take full control of their charging costs—empowering them to charge where it’s most convenient, at times when it’s most affordable.
