CHERY UK has strengthened its position as a forward-looking force in the automotive sector following its prominent role at the CHERY International Business Summit 2026, held alongside Auto China 2026 in Wuhu, China. The gathering brought together more than 4,000 global partners, including retailers, investors, media and industry stakeholders, marking a defining moment in the brand’s international expansion journey.
Under the theme “New Era, New Heights”, CHERY International outlined an ambitious roadmap aimed at serving 10 million export customers worldwide by 2030. The summit underscored the brand’s long-standing global momentum, with CHERY retaining its position as China’s top automotive exporter for 23 consecutive years. This scale is supported by an extensive global infrastructure comprising eight R&D centres, 36 production bases and a retail network exceeding 2,000 partners, alongside a customer base of more than 19 million.
The CHERY International Business Summit 2026 was designed as an immersive experience rather than a conventional exhibition. Within a 2,000 square metre brand pavilion, visitors engaged with eight interactive mobility scenarios spanning urban commuting, family life, outdoor adventure and advanced technology environments. These installations demonstrated CHERY’s evolving philosophy of integrating mobility, connectivity and safety into everyday driving experiences, positioning the car as a seamless extension of modern life.
A central message from the summit was CHERY’s commitment to building a global technology ecosystem shaped by changing consumer expectations. As vehicles become increasingly digital and connected, the brand is focusing on delivering smarter, safer and more intuitive mobility solutions. For CHERY UK, these developments reinforce confidence in its growing lineup of TIGGO SUV models, which are being positioned to meet the needs of modern families across the UK market.
Safety, in particular, was placed firmly in the spotlight through a live crash test demonstration involving the CHERY TIGGO 9 CSH and TIGGO 7 CSH models, both already recognised with 5-star Euro NCAP safety ratings. Conducted under controlled real-world conditions, the test simulated a 50km/h frontal collision combined with a 40km/h rear impact. Both vehicles maintained structural integrity throughout, with no significant deformation of the passenger cabin, correct airbag deployment, fully functional restraint systems and intact post-collision safety functions such as automatic door unlocking.
Farrell Hsu, Country Manager at CHERY UK, emphasised the significance of the summit in shaping the brand’s future direction, noting that CHERY’s “For Family” philosophy remains central to its development strategy. According to Hsu, this approach ensures that every vehicle is engineered not only for performance and innovation, but also for the everyday safety, comfort and connectivity that modern families expect.
As CHERY continues to expand its global footprint, the insights and technologies showcased at the 2026 summit highlight a clear trajectory: a shift toward intelligent mobility ecosystems that blend safety, innovation and practicality, with CHERY UK set to play a key role in bringing these advancements to British roads.
